Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:This is the front of the paper. The backside is pink too, but doesn't
have a dark center.
Make mountain- and valley-folds over these 4 lines. Unfold each fold
after you've made one.
Step 2:
Make these folds from the edge of the paper to the center, not
any further.
First, make a valley-fold over the 2 lines below, on the right.
Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines on top, on the left.
Now you get a basic-shape.
Step 3:
Make these folds over the upper 2 layers of the model.
Step 4:
Unfold the folds that you've made in step 3.
Step 5:
Fold the end at the bottom of the arrow upwards, by making
a valley-fold over this line.
Step 6:
Press the edges that stand upwards flat, see arrows.
Use the lines you've folded in step 3 as help-lines when you
do this.
Step 7:
Repeat step 3 to 6 on the backside of the model.
Step 8:
Fold the piece above the purple line downwards by making
a valley-fold over this line.
Do the same on the backside of the model.
Step 9:
Fold the piece upwards again by making a valley-fold over this
line.
Do the same on the backside of the model.
Step 10:
Fold the piece on the right of the purple line to the left (=bookfold)
by making a valley-fold over this line.
Step 11:
Fold the piece below the purple line upwards by making
a valley fold over this line.
Repeat step 10 and 11 on the backside of the model.
Step 12:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines. Do this by making
a valley-fold over the 2 short lines below and a mountain-fold
over the longer line in the middle.
You actually just pull the end indicated by the arrow downwards
when you make these folds.
Step 13:
On the right in this picture is the petal that you've folded downwards
in step 12.
Repeat step 12 on the other 3 ends, see the pink arrows.
Step 14:
Pull the upper layer of the petal upwards (see arrows) so it
comes loose from the layer below.
Do the same as above on the other 3 petals.
Step 15:
Press the edge indicated by the arrow a little bit inwards.
Do the same with the other 3 edges in the center of the flower.
The origami flower is ready!
