FOLDING A PINK ORIGAMI FLOWER
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper. The backside is completely pink
without a yellow center.
Make mountain- and valley-folds over these 4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you've made one.
Step 2:
Fold the 4 corners to the center of the model by making
a valley-fold over these lines.
Step 3:
Make an inside reverse fold over the 3 lines on the right. Do this
by making a mountain-fold over the short line and a valley-fold
over the 2 longer lines. Make these folds over all layers of the model.
The corners indicated by the 2 green arrows are pulled a bit
towards each other when you make these folds.
Step 4:
Repeat step 3 on the other 3 edges of the model, see the yellow
lines.
Step 5:
Make 2 valley-folds on the loose edge below. Do this by folding
the pieces above the yellow lines downwards.
Do the same as above on the other 3 edges indicated by the
green arrows.
Step 6:
Pull the end at the green arrow over the edge of the model until
it lays on the same place indicated by the yellow dot.
Then press everything a little bit flat so the end stays better
in place.
Step 7:
Repeat step 6 on the other 3 ends, see the green arrows.
Step 8:
Push the 4 ends (see green arrows) a bit towards each other.
Do this by making mountain- and valley-folds over the yellow lines.
You don't have to make new folding-lines when you do this,
everything is already prefolded.
Step 9:
Make a mountain-fold over the yellow line. The petals indicated by
the 2 green arrows are pulled towards each other when you make
this fold.
Make the same fold as above on the other 3 edges at the bottom
of the flower.
Step 10:
Now the bottom of the model looks like this.
Turn the model.
Step 11:
Curl the end of the petal (see green arrow) backwards. You can do
this by rolling it up around a pencil or just rolling it up with your
hand.
Do the same as above on the other 3 petals.
The flower is ready :)
