MAKING AN ORIGAMI AMARYLLIS
Below is an explanation for folding a complete amaryllis flower, with leaves and a thick stem.
Step 1:
This paper is for the flower.
The size is 6x6 inch.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make a valley-fold over these 4 lines.
Step 3:
Turn the paper.
Step 4:
Pull the piece between the 2 lines to the left, until it lays on
the left of these lines. Do this by making a valley-fold over
the line on the left and a mountain-fold over the line on the right.
Step 5:
Repeat step 4 on the other 5 places indicated with the 2 lines.
Step 6:
Now the model looks like this.
Step 7:
Hold the model in one hand and push or pull the 6 petals downwards
with your other hand, see the yellow arrows.
Step 8:
Make 3 of these red flowers.
Step 9:
Make about 12 of these large leaves.

Use papers of about 6x6 inch for making these leaves.
Step 10:
This is the thick stem for the amaryllis flower.
Click here if you want to see diagrams for making this stem
I used papers of 6x6 inch for this stem too.
Step 11:
This is what you'll need for making a complete origami amaryllis:
3 large flowers
about 12 large leaves
a thick stem
A small vase
Step 12:
Add glue to the backside of the flower and glue it to the top
of the stem.
Step 13:
Glue 2 more flowers to the top of the stem.
Step 14:
The stem with flowers is ready.
Step 15:
Place the leaves in the vase and insert the stem with flowers
in it too. If the stem is to short for the vase, you can just make
the stem of a longer piece of paper.
The amaryllis flower is ready!
