ORIGAMI BLUEBIRD
I like this model because of the bright colours I used for the
patterned folding paper.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Prefold over these lines.
Step 2:
First make a valley-fold over the 2
lines at the bottom-right.
Then make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the
middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines
at the top
left.
Step 3:
Make a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Step 4:
Unfold the folds of step 3
Step 5:
Pull the end at the bottom of the arrow
upwards by
making a valley-fold over the green line.
Step 6:
Press the edges indicated by the arrows
downwards.
Step 7:
Repeat steps 3 to 6 on the backside of
the model.
Step 8:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3
lines.
The pieces indicated by the arrows are
pulled towards
each other while you make these folds.
Step 9:
Repeat step 8 on this end, see arrow.
Step 10:
Make a valley-fold over these lines.
Make the same
folds on the other wing.
Step 11:
Make a valley-fold over the line on the
right and
a mountain-fold over the line on the
left.
Make the same folds on the other side of
the neck.
Make these folds halfway the neck, see
arrows as
guidance.
Step 12:
Make a mountain-fold over this line,
make the same
fold on the other side of the tail.
Step 13:
Press the tail flat between
your fingers, see arrows.
Step 14:
Make a mountain-fold over this
line, make the same
fold on the other side of the neck.
Step 15:
Make a mountain-fold over this
line.
Step 16:
Fold the wing downwards over
this (prefolded) line, do the
same on the other wing.
Step 17:
Fold the tip of each wing upwards by
making
a valley-fold over these 2 lines.
Done!
