AN ORIGAMI LADYBUG
Only the front of the square piece of paper is coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make a mountain-fold over the 2 diagonal lines
and a valley-fold over the other 2 lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
Make a valley-fold over the 4 yellow lines.
Step 4:
Make a valley-fold over these 4 lines.
Step 5:
Fold the model in half over the diagonal line.
Step 6:
Make a valley-fold over the line below and a
mountain-fold over the upper line.
Make the same folds on the backside of the model.
Press on the black piece (see arrow) to make it flat.
Step 7:
Above in this picture is the black piece which you
flattened in step 6.
Fold the end below to the inside by making a
mountain-fold over the yellow line.
Step 8:
Make a valley-fold over the line on the right and
a mountain-fold over the line on the left.
The piece between the two lines is on the right of the
line where you made the valley-fold after you made
these folds.
Step 9:
Make the same folds you made in step 8 over these
two lines.
Step 10:
Make a mountain-fold over the line on the left and
a valley-fold over the line on the right.
Step 11:
Repeat step 10 for the 3 other ends, see arrows.
Step 12:
Now the model looks like this.
Step 13:
Press the 2 pieces at the yellow dots against each other
and press the end up, in the direction of the arrow.
Step 14:
Below, on the right in this picture is the end on which
you made the folds of step 13.
Repeat step 13 for the other 3 ends of the model,
see arrows.
Step 15:
Make a valley-fold on the upper layer of these 2 ends.
Now you can't see the white part (=back of the paper)
anymore.
Step 16:
Make a mountain-fold (on all the layers) over these
2 lines.
Step 17:
Press on the top of the model, so it becomes a bit flat.
The ladybug is ready!
