FOLDING AN ORANGE FLOWER
Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:
This is the front of the paper.
Turn the paper.
Step 2:
Make mountain- and valley-folds over the black lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 3:
Fold the 4 ends over the black lines to the center of
the paper.
Step 4:
Fold the 4 ends over the black lines to the outside.
Step 5:
Make valley-folds over these black lines.
Unfold each fold after you made one.
Step 6:
First, make a valley-fold at the 2 arrows.
(Make each fold to the center of the paper, not further)
Make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines next to the lines
indicated by the arrows. Continue making valley- and
mountain-folds until the lines above, on the left.
Now you get a sort of basic-shape.
Step 7:
Make a fold over the black line.
Unfold the model until it looks like step 5 again.
Step 8:
Here the model has the same shape as in step 5, but
now it's turned upside-down.
Now the center of the paper has to be folded down by
making mountain-folds over the short black lines.
These are the lines you made in step 7.
Step 9:
Here a part of the folds in step 8 is already made.
After you folded the whole center down, the outside
of the model has to be pressed back in the shape
of step 7.
Step 10:
Make an inside-reverse fold over the black lines.
The petal faces up a bit after you've done this.
Do the same with 4 other pieces of the model.
Step 11:
Here 5 petals are folded up.
Turn the flower upside-down.
Step 12:
Fold the 3 ends at the arrows a few times in half, so
the bottom of the model becomes more flat.
Turn the model.
Step 13:
Make a valley-fold on each corner indicated with an
arrow.
The flower is ready!
