Both sides of the square piece of paper are coloured.
Step 1:This is the front of the paper, the backside is completely
yellow, without a red center.
Make mountain- and valley-folds over these 4 lines.
Unfold each fold after you've made one.
Step 2:
First, make a valley-fold over the 2 lines below, on the right.
Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle.
And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines on top, on the left.
Now you get a basic shape.
Step 3:
Prefold the model by making a valley-fold over this line.
Step 4:
If you want to prefold the model better, you can make
a mountain-fold over the same line as in step 3 again.
Unfold the model after you've done this.
Step 5:
Now the center of the paper has to be folded downwards
by making mountain-folds over the green lines.
These lines are already prefolded in step 3.
Step 6:
Here a part of the folds of step 5 is already done. Press the
corners indicated by the large arrows towards each other.
You don't have to make new folding lines when you do this.
Then press the edge indicated by the 2 small arrows on top
to the edge at the 2 arrows below (You don't have to make new
folding lines to do this too).
Step 7:
Fold the piece below the green line upwards by making a
valley-fold over this green line.
Do the same on the backside of the model.
Step 8:
Fold the piece on the right of the green line to the left by making
a valley-fold over this green line (=bookfold)
Do the same on the backside of the model.
Step 9:
Fold the piece below the green line upwards by making
a valley-fold over this green line.
Do the same on the backside of the model.
Then, turn the model, with the red piece on top in the picture.
Step 10:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines. Do this by making
a mountain-fold over the line in the middle and a valley-fold
over the other 2 lines.
You actually just pull the end indicated by the pink arrow
upwards when you make these folds.
Step 11:
The arrow indicates the end you've folded upwards in step 10.
Repeat step 10 on the other 3 same pieces of the model.
Step 12:
Press the red center flat from above with a finger on the
places indicated by the pink arrows.
